Little Fort Leech Fly Tying Tutorial

The Little Fort Leech has been a staple in our stillwater boxes for what seems like forever. It is a very effective pattern for rainbow trout all over the province. From our local coastal lakes to the interior regions, this fly flat-out catches fish. The red hotspot or trigger point in the tail makes this eye-catching pattern stand out in the water. Tie it long and slender to imitate a leech, or you can tie it short and fat and fish it as an attractor. Either way, this is a great addition to anyone’s lake box!
