Cutthroat Soft Hackle Jig Fly Tying Tutorial

This is a fly that we primarily use for cutthroat fishing, but it is much more than that for us. We have had great days using this for coho, and we always keep a few in our stillwater fly boxes as well, and we wouldn’t even limit it to that. It’s not an overly complex fly to tie, which we love because we can tie them as quickly as the fish bite them. The olive and UV pearl combo is favourite, but we also tie this in brown, tan, and black, and you can change the bead and body colour to suit your needs, making this a very versatile pattern for the box.
