Chef's Special Chironomid Fly Tying Tutorial
This chironomid has quietly become one of the more consistent patterns in our stillwater box lately. The Chef’s Special combines an amber body, gold holographic rib, and contrasting wire to create a clean natural profile that really matches those amber or honey coloured chironomids when they start hatching.
It’s a simple pattern, but the colour combination on this fly just seems to work when fish are keyed in on those lighter natural tones.
