The Wake Up Call Intruder Fly Recipe

The Wake Up Call Intruder Fly Recipe

The Wake Up Call is an intruder fly pattern that you can rely on to get down and dirty in front of any big migrating Steelhead, Salmon or Trout. Its presence can be felt in all types of rivers. There is no river too big and no creek too small, it will attract fish. The Wake Up Call is a show off pattern that fish can easily see.  The UV flash lights up like a Christmas tree and helps draw in fish from a distance.

Fish this fly with a sink tip appropriate for the water that you’re fishing, typically 5ft-15ft long and type 3, 6 or 8 depending on speed and depth of water off that a fluorocarbon leader 15-20lb test 2ft-3ft in length.

This pattern is relatively easy and inexpensive to tie, make sure you have The Wake Up Call ready to go in your fly box.
