Cloudy Day Killer Fly Tying Tutorial

The Cloudy Day Killer is designed for low-light conditions when trout rely more on contrast and movement to find food.

The dark body creates a strong silhouette in the water, while the bright bead and hot spot give fish a clear point to target. The flashabou in the body reflects what little light is available, helping the fly stand out even more on cloudy days.

A soft hackle adds constant movement, making the fly come alive in the current and increasing its effectiveness during a natural drift.
