Casey's IDS Leech Fly Tying Video and Recipe

The IDS (Ice Dub and Squirrel) Leech is a super fishy pattern that can be tied in many colour combinations. While the version demonstrated in the video is ideal for deep-water fishing, its success is not limited to those depths. Experiment with your preferred leech colours such as shades of olive, brown, burgundy and the classic straight black. All are safe bets to try with this fly.

Hook: Ahrex NS 105 Size 10

Bead: Pro Tyer Brass Beads 7/64” Metallic Purple

Thread: Uni Thread, 6/0, Black

Tail: Wapsi Wooly Bugger Marabou Black and Purple and Hedron Flashabou UV Midnight Black

Body: Hareline Ice Dub UV Black blended with OfishL Pine Squirrel, Black
