Walt’s Worm Variant Fly Tying Tutorial

This is Sea-Run’s version of Walt’s Worm. A metallic brown tungsten bead helps the fly get down quickly, while dark hare’s dubbing gives it a natural, buggy appearance. Copper-brown wire adds durability, and a rusty brown Ice Dub collar provides just enough contrast to bring the pattern to life.

It is best fished tight to the bottom where trout are actively feeding. The pattern is simple and not particularly flashy, but it consistently produces fish. That reliability is exactly why it deserves a spot in the fly box.
