The Orange Euphie is a simple euphausiid (krill) pattern developed for beach coho salmon and sea-run cutthroat trout. Combining a translucent profile, subtle flash, and lifelike movement, it imitates one of the most abundant food sources found along our
beaches and estuaries. Fish the Orange Euphie on either a floating line or an intermediate line, depending on the depth of the fish. Cast, allow the fly to settle briefly, then retrieve it with a series of short, steady strips, mixing in the occasional pause to imitate the natural movement of drifting krill.
In this video, learn how to tie the Orange Euphie from start to finish.
