Sparkler Boobie Fly Tying Tutorial

The Sparkler Boobie is a flashy and versatile pattern that can be fished as both an attractor and a baitfish imitation.

The Sparkler Boobie combines buoyant foam eyes with a bright hot orange body and plenty of sparkling flash. The long strands of flash create excellent movement and give the fly a baitfish like profile when retrieved.

This pattern has proven effective for cutthroat trout, rainbow trout, and coho salmon. The combination of flash, movement, and buoyancy makes it a great pattern to have in the fly box.

Fish it just like a traditional Boobie. Use a sinking line to get it down, then experiment with short pulls, longer strips, and pauses. Vary the retrieve until you find what the fish respond to.
