Olive C.O.D. Bull Trout Fly Tying Tutorial

The C.O.D. (Catch on Delivery) is a Bull Trout fly pattern that Brian and Andrew developed for fishing for bull trout in our coastal rivers. This fly offers a large baitfish profile and a ton of lifelike movement making this an appealing “meal” for these voracious predatory feeders. This fly fishes best swung behind a sink tip and its size makes fishing it on a two-handed rod a little more practical, but if you are up for the challenge, it is possible with a single-handed fly rod. Be ready for hard and hefty strikes when fishing this fly, they like to “kill it” on the take!
