Weekly Fly Recipe: The Sparkle Butt Spade Steelhead Fly

This is a New Spade Fly Variation that I tied for Steelhead in clear low water situations or as a close out pattern after the big scary stuff has woken them up. It has a little more “pop” than the original version.

Tail: Elk Body Hair or Moose Body
Tag: Krystal Flash Chenille/Orange/Chartreuse or Blue
Body: Ostrich Herl or Peacock Herl
Hackle: Natural Guinea Feather
Hook: Mustad sl53ubl or Alec Jackson Salmon Hooks #8
