Greys GR80 Streamflex Fly Rod Review

In our Greys GR80 Streamflex fly rod review we are going to talk about what makes this one our favourite fly rods. When going to place our fly rod order for 2021 our hearts sank when we saw that the Fenwick Fenlite Streamflex was no longer offered, this rod had only been on the market one year and it had been an excellent product.  Our hearts were then filled with joy when we learned that the rod had been rebranded and tweaked under into the Greys product line up as the Greys GR80 Streamflex fly rod.

Greys GR80 Streamflex Fly Rod Review

The GR80 is extremely light in the hand and incredibly durable as they utilize the 3M Powerlux 1000 Resin, this advanced technology leads to a rod that is up to thirty percent stronger than a rod built without it.

It’s a challenge to really put into words how much we like how this rod casts using words like phenomenal, awesome and spectacular just don’t really seem to do it justice, the crispness the sensitivity and the power that this rod has is incredible.  Greys offers the G80 in 3wt’s to 6wt’s and in lengths from 6’6” up to 11’.

For our markets and fisheries Sea-Run Fly & Tackle is currently stocking these in 3wt-6wt and in 7’, 9’ and 10’ we do have the ability to order in any of the rods not currently in our inventory.  One of the highlights of these high quality rods is they do not carry a high end price tag they range from $409.98-$499.98.

If a new fly rods on the wish list for this year a Greys GR80 Streamflex is a rod to strongly consider their performance is top notch. We hope you enjoyed our Greys GR80 Streamflex fly rod review.
