Real-World Fishing Experience - Class is based on years of instruction and guiding experience for trout, steelhead, and salmon. Uses lessons from real world successes and failures.

About Your Instructor Aaron Caldwell

Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Aaron began tying flies shortly after picking up his first fly rod in 1989. After culinary school and earning his Red Seal Chef certification, his travels west introduced him to exceptional fisheries that shaped his career in fly fishing. He began guiding trout anglers in Calgary on the renown Bow River in 2007.

Aaron has since fished extensively across British Columbia, Alberta, the United States, and internationally, while building a career in guiding, commercial fly tying, and instruction. Based in Terrace, BC, he teaches two-handed casting each spring on the Bow River, guides throughout the summer, and spends fall steelhead season at Babine Norlakes Steelhead Camp near Smithers.
