The Dingleberry Float Fishing Jig for Steelhead, Trout and Char

The Dingleberry is something that isn’t limited to gear fishing techniques, you can also fish it under an indicator on a fly rod or even downsize it and nymph it through your favourite slot. This jig has two main fish attracting elements to it, the soft bead dangling off the back and the flesh-coloured rabbit at the front of the jig that simulates a piece of salmon flesh that can be a popular meal for a hungry trout or char. I like to throw a little bit of bait on this when I am float fishing for steelhead just to add a little extra level of enticement.
