Simms G3 Guide Waders Review 2022 Model

In this Simms G3 Guide Waders review we are going to go over some of the changes Simms has made to this popular wader.

Once again Simms looks like they have knocked it out of the park with the revamped G3 Guide waders.  The name G3 Guide waders has been around for a lot of years now but we have seen the model change over the years.

It’s hard to believe that it’s actually been about four years now without a G3 change, this usually speaks volume to how well the waders been performing, and we must say the old ones were an excellent wader with our own usage of them being thumbs up.

Design and Materials

This new wader utilizes a 3 layer Gore-Tex upper and a 4 layer Gore-Tex Pro lower for the best in breathability, durability and longevity.  Simms has paid attention to the little details on the new G3 wader to make this the best G3 yet.

Belt Loops

They have made two belt loops for your wading belt an upper and a lower so you can find the sweet spot for your body type.

Suspenders

The suspenders for the G3 have also been upgraded to air mesh system similar to that of the top of the line G4 wader for the ultimate in comfort on the water.

Gravel Guards

The gravel guards have also received some attention and are heavier duty and more abrasion resistant than previous models.

Pockets

One last highlight feature of these waders is the zippered side pockets we find this such a simple little thing that makes a huge difference it allows for often needed items such as pliers or a hook file to be stored and never lost. 

Sizes

The G3 Guide waders have 21 stock sizes and 6 customs size options. These have more sizes than even the G4 Pro wader.
