Calcutta B Baitcasting Reel

The Shimano Calcutta B baitcasting reel is a long-standing flag ship baitcasting reel. It is an absolute workhorse. This reel is machined from one solid piece of aluminum with ARB (anti-rust bearings). It uses cross-carbon fibre drag washers and a super free spool design that allows for effortless casts.  These reels have been one of the best valued round baitcasting reels for salmon and steelhead for many years.   

Chronarch MGL Low Profile Reel

The Shimano Chronarch MGL low-profile baitcasting reel is extremely lightweight, weighing in at only 6 1/2oz. Don’t let the lightness of this reel fool you. It is a very durable reel loaded with features.  This reel has 9 bearings that are ARB (anti-rust bearings). The cross-carbon fibre drag washers offer 10-11lbs of drag and a free spool design for effortless casts. The Magnum Lite (MGL) spool design helps to gain up to 20% more casting distance.

The Shimano Curado low-profile baitcasting reel is one of the more popular low-profile reels on the market. This series of reels offers super smooth casting and reliable performance.  A great bass and light duty salmon and steelhead reel. Also, available in the DC model. Torium Big Game Reel

The Shimano Torium big game reel is a very popular saltwater reel used for fishing for halibut, rockfish and ling cod. This 4-bearing reel is extremely lightweight and has a quick retrieve ratio of 6.2:1, making reeling up from depths a piece of cake. 

TLD Big Game Reel

The Shimano TLD big game reel is one of the most popular reels for sturgeon fishing. It has stood the test of time as a reliable high performance fishing reel for big game anglers.  The lever drag system makes for quick drag adjustments and has 23lbs of maximum drag.

Talica Big Game Reel

The Shimano Talica big game lever drag reel is an excellent higher-end big game reel. This reel is an extremely popular choice with sturgeon and halibut anglers due to its’ solid construction and reliable performance.  It utilizes a lever drag system for fast drag adjustments.  The Talica has 40lbs-45lbs of drag in the popular sizes used for our local fisheries.  The Talica can also be purchased in a two-speed that allows for gear ratio adjustments.

The Shimano Stradic spinning reel is a great high-quality spinning reel.  This reel has 7 bearings and is smooth as silk. The Stradic has a front drag that offers up to 24lbs of drag in the largest size, which is suitable for salmon fishing. 

Sedona Spinning Reel

The Shimano Sedona Spinning Reel is one of our most popular sellers. This reel is available in a wide range of sizes, from an ultralight to reels big enough for shore sturgeon fishing.  The Sedona is a 4-bearing reel with a front drag system that has 7lbs of drag in the smaller sizes and up to 24lbs in the largest sizes.

Technium Rods

The Shimano Technium fishing rod is specifically manufactured for West Coast fishing. These rods are designed to perform in the harsh conditions that West Coast fishing can throw at you.  They are made with a fibreglass core that is wrapped with graphite carbon to increase the strength of the rod.  This series of rods includes models for sturgeon fishing, salmon mooching/downrigger fishing, salmon and steelhead baitcasting and spinning.
