Okuma Salish Mooching Rod

Built for West Coast saltwater applications, the Okuma Salish Canadian Mooching and Halibut Rods deliver a balanced blend of strength, responsiveness, and durability. Designed around a 24-ton carbon blank with a moderate taper, these rods provide the sensitivity needed for mooching while maintaining the backbone required to handle larger fish like halibut.

Standard models feature a practical shrink tube butt and compressed cork foregrip for a secure, comfortable hold in wet conditions. For anglers who prefer a more modern feel, CG models are equipped with carbon grip rear and foregrips for added durability and a clean finish.

All Salish rods are built with corrosion-resistant stainless steel guide frames and inserts, making them well-suited for saltwater use. Premium Fuji DPS reel seats ensure a solid, reliable connection to your reel, while models SA-C-1062M and SA-C-1062MH are outfitted with a standard baitcast reel seat design for traditional setups.
