Purple Violator Twitching Jig Recipe and Tying Video

The Purple Violator is a go-to twitching jig for Coho in our local rivers. The combination of colours and the contrast of the silver flash in the tail make it a real fish catcher. If you give this pattern a try, we think you will have some success.

The materials that are used in the construction of this jig make it a very durable pattern that will survive multiple battles with Coho and even Chum Salmon. We most commonly tie this on a 3/8 size jig head but will scale it down to a ¼ or up to a ½ depending on water depth and speed in the spot that you’re fishing. Add a couple to your kit this fall and see how they work for you!

Happy Twitchin’
