Whether you are new to the long rods or a seasoned caster, Dana will help you improve your casting skills. Our small class size ensures that you’ll receive lots of one-on-one and small group instruction. This course includes an evening classroom session at the shop where Dana will cover Spey casting theory and applications to various species. Whether you cast Skagit, Scandinavian, or traditional Spey lines, Dana’s decades of experience will help take your Spey casting to the next level!

Your Instructor:
Dana Sturn is a widely known outdoor writer who has been teaching the art of double-handed fly casting since the 1990s. He is the founder of speypages.com and helped the Federation of Fly Fishers develop their Speycasting Instructor Certification Program. He has appeared in instructional films and his writing and photography have appeared in Fly Fisherman, The Drake, Gray’s Sporting Journal and many other outdoor publications.
