Contemporary Stillwater Fly Tying Techniques Class

In this class we will explore the world of window tint chironomids, extended body pupa, micro leeches, balanced flies and popular boobie-style patterns. Furthermore, we will venture into advanced dragonfly techniques, revealing the secrets to tie these innovative patterns.

Your instructor is Dennis Gamboa, a seasoned professional fly tyer with over 30 years of commercial fly tying experience and 25 years of teaching fly tying classes. Dennis is renowned for his original interpretations of both contemporary and timeless fly patterns. As a valued member of numerous PRO Teams worldwide, he has left a lasting impact on the global fly tying community.

Prerequisite: Fundamentals 101 or equivalent.

Students are required to bring their own vise and tools, including a dubbing twister, Velcro brush or dubbing rake, UTC 70 threads in black, olive, brown, red, and white, UV resin and light, along with head cement.
